- Everyday life of a child with Cri du Chat can be normal with the exception of some symptoms such as: feeding problems, severe speech problems and motor delays, behavioral problems, and unusual facial features. By age 2 about 1/3 of the children will lose the cry. Generally all children with Cri du Chat seem to be loving, happy, and social people.
- Almost all of the children with Cri du Chat will have limitations such as speech developmental and other mental issues. Even though they have limitations from the syndrome, they still have the potential to live life to the fullest.
